In our last few days in Berlin we tried to see everything we could. On Tuesday we visited Potsdam, a town outside of Berlin. Unfortunately it rained so it was hard to appreciate the town. The palace Sans Souci was beautiful and we were able to see the grave of Fredrick the Great. On Wednesday we visited multiple railroad parks with some students from Berlin. It was great to see how each railroad park was treated. Some were heavily changed, meaning that almost all remains of the rails were removed, while others still have the remains. On our last day, my friend and myself decided to get last minute gifts and go see Checkpoint Charlie. That night we had our last group dinner and it was very bittersweet. Germany was an amazing experience but I knew it was time to go home. I will never forget everything that has happened and cannot wait for my next adventure.
