Then the class took a tour of Louis Pasteur's house and laboratory in the town of Arbois, which I believe one day may be renamed Pasteur since every other building and street had some mention of his name as well as a picture, bust, or monument. One of my favorite experiences while in France, I was able to walk around the lab and see the history of microbiology and also found and interesting sculpture in the backyard. After the tour the group split up to explore the town and took a visit to one of the churches in the area and found a massive Pasteur bust, shown in the picture below.
The group then met up to have dinner at the Taverne La Finette. A great time and some amazing food, and also the best creme brulee ever! We then went back to the hotel to rest up for the next days adventures.
