Good-bye Street Lamps!

One of the most remarkable sights to be seen. In Dusseldorf today a group of us travelled into the city center to witness the beautiful view of these small pocket parks with glowing benches! As seen in this picture, the view was exquisite. One of the most interesting things about these parks is they are proven to be not only safer but more populated because they are open during the evening hours. Everyone knows that the majority of our population works a 9 to 5 job so having pocket parks open late is vital to the use of outdoor space. 

These parks were absolutely beautiful and I hope to see this same technique adopted by the United States. It is such a simple way to make a place beautiful and safe.
