Gift Shopping and Helsinki

Getting ready to come back home after two months in Finland has been more difficult than I would have thought!  The biggest problem is trying to fit all of the stuff that I have bought here back into my suitcase and keep it under the maximum weight for the plane.  I have tried so many interesting foods and snacks that I would love to bring home with me to let all of my friends and family try.  I have also bought some really neat gifts here for people back at home, most of them have Moomin characters on them.  I have found out about these cartoon creatures called Moomin that are on everything here, and they are really cute!  There is also a lot of stuff that has angry birds on it too. Gift shopping itself has been a fun experience.

Moomin Trolls

Today I am in Helsinki so I can get my plane back home, and I am getting really excited to be back!  From Helsinki I go to Copenhagen and then from there I take my final plane back home. I am going to be traveling all day but when I get back I will probably be too excited to sleep much.  I didn’t get much of a chance to see a lot of Helsinki while I was here, but that just means I have to come back some day!  This trip has really been a once in a lifetime experience and I am so grateful for everything.  I have done things that I thought I would never get a chance to do and I am super lucky.  Now its time to go home, but I will never forget this trip.
