Thursday the 25th was our last day of Spanish class. Amigos del Sol was a fabulous place. As much of a pain as it might have been to travel back and forth, we all loved going to Spanish class. All of our instructors were great, I had Esteban in the lower level class and he was awesome. I definitely felt like I learned a lot while there. I not only gained knowledge but also confidence to try to use Spanish more and not feel like I am going to say something wrong. Esteban was really laid back and easy to talk to. To practice speak we would start off every day but just talking about what we did that weekend or the day before, what we did at work, or what our plans were for the coming weekend. It was perfect to be able to have casual conversations and those were the skills that I wanted to build the most.
It was a sad day to leave Amigos del Sol. They called all of our names out one by one and we all got our diplomas. It felt like we were leaving some of our friends behind. Amigos del Sol felt like a part of our family, everyone was so happy. I never saw a person smile more in my life than I saw Rogelio, the director smile every day. Amigos del Sol was the perfect place to learn Spanish and I will definitely miss being there.
