Berlin, the final destination in my five week adventure through Germany. Our first week consisted of our studio workshop. In it we designed the plaza of the train station Gesundbrunnen. It was a very intense week of design but by the end we made friends with the Berlin students and expressed our views on what should be done at the site.
This week started off with a free day on Saturday. In which I went in search for the artist JR's work in the city. I did succeed in finding his prints and enjoyed my day off. On Sunday we visited the Tiergarten, Nordpark, and Maurer park. Each was different from the other in its qualities. The Tiergarten is a landscape park with some baroque axis, Nordpark is a successional park, and Maurer is more of a people's park. Monday we visited Templehof Airport where the Berlin airlift occurred. We had so much fun there because we got to ride what looked like go carts. Until next time!
