Munchen the final day

Munich has been a lovely city over the past week. The city itself is rich with history and religion. On Thursday we got to witness the celebration of Corpus Christi at Marienplatz. The next day we visited Freising which used to be the main religious town but that was changed when the bridge to it was destroyed. As a result the diocese is now of Munich and Freising. Religion could also be seen in Dachau when we went to the concentration camp. There were three religious monuments created in honor of the people that died there. It was by far one of the most emotionally charged places I have ever been. It was eerie seeing the buildings that people were tortured and killed in. On a brighter note, on Tuesday we got a first dose of sunshine. It is said that it is odd for the weather to like it has been. The sunny day was beautiful and we got to go to many places. There was Olympic park, the river Isar, and the Olympic village. Even though today was our last day and free day we were plagued by rain. As a result I visited museums where I saw some Warhol paintings and the mining process. So tomorrow morning we set of for Düsseldorf for a new adventure.
