More castles and cheeses.

Thursday was a a full class day of intense lecture. The Kebabs shop nearly the Cluny Sejour has a variety of great food. After class we all walked around Cluny to explore outskirts of the town.

The Friday we went on an excursion to the fromagerie Gaugry, a cheese factory where they specialized in making Epoisse soft cheeses. It was amazing to see how much work goes into making the cheeses. It was a bit smelly but the cheese tasting afterwards made it all worth it.

Our next stop was the Chateau Cote de Vougote.
A famous vineyard that can be seen all around and produced some of the most famous, exquisite wines. It began with the Cistercian monks where the idea of "cru" originated.

Not too far away we visited the Chateau de Gilly where we had a great Priemer Cru chardonnay.

Saturday we visited the farmers market. This was an amazing experience meeting some of the producers and cheese makers and mongers. There was an array of fresh vegetation and just as many cheeses.
