Just arrived in Cluny! The train ride was very restful. We saw many agricultural areas on our way. Our hostel here is called Cluny Sejour (Sejour means "stay") and it is so much better than the one we stayed at in Paris. The hostel was once used as a candle-making factory by the monks.
We all had dinner together in a room that is going to serve as our classroom for the next two weeks. Everyone seems very friendly and excited to be on this trip. Cluny is beautiful! It is such a cute, little town. The population of this town is around 4,500 people – that is about a few Rutgers classrooms. It is so easy to walk around here without getting lost. After dinner, the eight of us went to explore the town. I can definitely see myself loving this place. It is so calm and beautiful here.
We start class early tomorrow morning, so until next time, au revoir!
